Clove

Clove is a common flavoring agent in foods and beverages and is used as a flavoring or fragrance in other products such as toothpaste, soaps, and cosmetics. Cloves contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals, so using whole or ground cloves to add flavor to your food can provide some important nutrients. Cloves are high in antioxidants, including eugenol, which can help reduce oxidative stress and could help to treat stomach ulcers.

Maces & Nutmeg


Nutmeg has a distinctive pungent fragrance and a warm slightly sweet taste; it is used to flavor many kinds of baked goods, confections, puddings, potatoes, meats, sausages, sauces, vegetables, and beverages. Mace is the spice made from the reddish seed covering (aril) of the nutmeg seed. Its flavour is similar to nutmeg but more delicate; it is used to flavour baked goods, meat, fish, vegetables and in preserving and pickling.
